Partnerships & CollaborationsWomen At Work works with numerous agencies and organizations on national, state and local levels to provide the best possible services to its clients. Throughout its history, successful collaborations and partnerships have been the hallmark of Women At Work 's operations. Locally, Women At Work is a partner of the Foothill Employment and Training Consortium, the Pasadena One-Stop Employment Center. Women At Work partners with Foothill Family Service to provide workshops and employment assistance for women who are in recovery from domestic violence situations.

Women At Work is a Regional Service Provider for the U.S. Department of Labor, Women's Bureau, San Diego, to(help) provide (mentoring,) resources and learning opportunities to older women to enable them to achieve their employment goals. At the state level, Women At Work has been a member of the leadership team of Californians for Family Economic Self-Sufficiency (CFESS). CFESS has developed a group of six strategies to achieve self-sufficiency standards for California families. Women At Work attends statewide meetings sponsored to develop and implement strategies, effective programs, and issues that affect low-income families. Nationally, Women At Work is a member of Wider Opportunities for Women, Washington D.C. that addresses women's employment and economic self-sufficiency issues. Women At Work staff members attend Wider Opportunities for Women's national conferences to learn best practices used nationwide for women's career development. Women At Work is a member of Women Work!, the national women at work network. Women Work! conducts research and advocates on behalf of legislative issues related to welfare reform, vocational education and the Workforce Investment Act. Women At Work was selected as a partner to help Women Work! to develop an Information Literacy curriculum for the U.S. Department of Labor. On an ongoing basis, Women At Work constantly strives to find national, state, and local partners to ensure the best possible unduplicated career and workforce development services are provided to the community. |
